Just heard about that iphone 4G still intent on not letting user swap their own batteries. The increase of battery capacity is always falling behind with the increase of power cansumption. It's a sad fact of life: iPhone batteries wear out. Most users learn this about 18 months after they buy one, when the phone can barely last a day without running out of juice. Sadder still: With iPhones sealed up tighter than an astronaut's flight suit, there's no easy way to replace a worn-out battery. Our portable power may be can help you, which can charge iphone battery from dead to full. This iphone external battery is very high capacity: 2200 mah. Using 18650 li-ion battery, which you can change it very easy.
Here is a review about how to setting the iphone:
iPhone backup battery
I love to use my iPhone but it's not a perfect device. One of my list of grievances is the battery life. I understand it's a 3G smart phone (a pretty powerful one at that) but I think the battery life is ridiculous sometimes.
Here are the settings I use:
- 65-75% brightness (I keep slider bar under the last 's' in "Brightness", sometimes lower)
- Auto-Brightness: On
- Wi-Fi on and used whenever possible, which is most of the time
- Push data on
- Fetch manually
- Bluetooth off
- Location services on
- Auto-Lock 1 minute
My battery will last barely 4 hours (+ or - 10-20 minutes) in a typical day of usage. It didn't seem as bad before I upgraded to 3.1.2 and I have seen other users complain about the battery life after upgrading. As of today, I never saw an update or response from Apple regarding this issue. Maybe it was all in our heads or the battery percentage was updated to calculate more precisely than before. Apple lists the battery life for 3G call or internet use to be 5 hours and 9 hours on Wi-Fi. I am not a very heavy user in my opinion, I will text and make phone calls from time to time throughout the day, if any at all. I use Safari or apps to read news and such, etc. I am not saying that my battery life will be 0% or near there at the end of the day, sometimes I do not have to charge until the next day. But I hate having to recharge the phone almost every night, be sure I have a way to charge my phone if I am away from home or carry an external battery pack (which has been really useful a certain number of times). Also on standby, my iPhone seems to drain about 2%-3% every hour or so. Standby time is listed as 300 hours on Apple's website. My iPhone 3GS was purchased brand new at an AT&T wireless store in August of 2009.
I apologize if this issue has been discussed before, if there is another thread talking about the iPhone 3GS battery life, or if I am complaining over a respectable/normal battery life from my iPhone. However, I am sure there are a number of people who wished the 3GS had better battery life.
